This is where you start off every quest in the Forest & Hills Zone. In the southern part of it is located the tent. It has a bed that you can rest in and recover your health if you don't have any potions with you. There is also a blue supply box across from the enterance of the tent that holds supply items. A red deliver box can be found next to your tent and is used to deliver items on gathering quests. Behind the tent is a fishing pond that has a dock you can stand on. On the west wall of this area is a cave that takes you to area 1.

| Area 1 - 1 Viewing
This is the first area that you walk into from the Base area. It has a herd of Aptonoth, but is sometimes replaced by a pack of Velociprey. There is a large river that you can't cross running on the west side of the area. This area connects the Base area with areas 2 and 8.

| Area 2
One of the open areas, this area has another cliff side view. It's usually infested with Kelbi or Velociprey. Wyverns hardly come here. This area connects areas 1, 3, and 6.

| Area 3
This area is the largest open area that you can be in. It is also a plateau and you can see what's down below. This are usually has Aptonoths and Kelbi located here, but Velociprey are also capable of inhabiting it. Wyverns often come here to get their meals. This area connects areas 2, 4, 9, and 10.

| Area 4
Area 4 is located on top of a hill. there are higher points that can't be reached by you and can be used as walls as a defense while fighting Wyverns. This area connects areas 3 and 5.

| Area 5
This area is literally a cave inside of a mountain. The floor is covered with bones and dung showing that it's a next for Wyverns. It is also infested with Velociprey. It connects areas 4 and 6.

| Area 6
It's a small area that has a rugged cliff side. The cliff is climbable so don't fear it. Mosswine reside here, but wyverns occasionally fly in. This area connects areas 2 and 5.

| Area 7
One of the most secluded areas of teh forest and hills zone. It is also the darkest by far. One of the three elders reside there. So you can trade items with him or he can give you friendly advice.

| Area 8
Area 8 is another forested area. It seems to have a ruined hut that has had it's habitants killed. Mosswine usually inhabit the area, but Bullfango's and Velociprey are no stranger to it. This area connects areas 1, 7, 9, and 10.

| Area 9
It's a narrow strip of land that connects 3 and 8. It is one of the forested areas. There is a small pond near the exit to 8. This strip usually has Felynes here, but occasionally Velociprey or Bullfangos will inhabit it. Wyverns are also known to fly here. There is also a small cave that you can enter that will keep you safe from any danger.

| Area 10
This is one of the larger areas. There is a large lake that has a shallow portion that you walk across to get to area 11. This area is usually has Kelbi or Felyne's here. Though sometimes there are Velociprey or even a Wyvern. This area connects aresas 3, 8, and 11.

It is the second smallest area. The place is overran by creek that is very easy to walk across. There is a small pond that you can fish in. It is connected to areas 10 and 12.

| Area 12
The smallest area of them all in the Forest&Hills Zone. It is a village of Felyne and Melynix. There is a pile stuff that you can search in to find items that were stolen from you. It is connected to area 11.
