Volcano Base Welcome hunter to the volcano zone. Though you won't always be starting off here so you need to be ready for anything. The usual tent, supply box, and delivery box is all there for your use. There is a lake behind the tent with a pier that you can get on and fish in. This area is connected to areas 1 and 2. Area 1 This area is located outside of the volcano. If it didn't have a giant rock in the center it would be a better place for fighting. However, any monster here is usually as tall as you so you can relax about the wyverns. This area connects the base with areas 3 and 4. Area 2 An area that is outside of the volcano. Various rocks are scattered through out the area making it a little difficult to move around. Some of them are explosive so becareful where you swing your sword. A certain wyvern can usually be found here and that's when the path to the base is blocked off. Area 3 One of the largest areas outside of the actual volcano. It's easy to walk around and you don't have to worry about things obstructing your way. Area 4 Near the center of the whole volcano zone. It is located inside of the volcano and is one of the largest areas in the zone as well. The heat will kill you if you don't have a cool drink to use. This area has a variety of monsters that reside here and a few mining points as well. This area connects areas 1, 2, 5, and 6. Area 5 A large area that has a body of lava nearby. You're inside of the volcano now, so cool drinks are needed to fight against the heat that drains one's health. Be careful because raptor type monsters like to be here and finding wyverns in this area is common as well. This area connects areas 3, 4, and 7. Area 6 A lava filled area. It almost runs the entire place except for the strip of land for you to run across. It is highly advised that you use cool drinks. Don't be fooled that nothing bad can come from the lava because some wyverns use it to take baths or to cross from area to area. This area connects areas 4 and 7. Area 7 An area that is filled with lava. It is extremely hot in this area and it's packed with Vespoids. There is a small island of land, but is inaccessible because of the lava between the strip of land that you are on and it. This area connects areas 5, 6, and 8. Area 8 A narrow strip of land. You run up hill only to find a wonder to be seen. A swirling cyclone of fire exists in the very back of the volcano and you are getting a cliffside view of it. The heat is at an extreme so be sure to use cool drinks. This area is mostly known for mining. The only way in and out of this area is through area 7.
